THE customer service centre for Huntingdonshire District Council has been given a glowing report in a satisfaction survey, HDC says.

Six months after the centre opened, visitors were asked to complete a short questionnaire to say how satisfied they were with the service.

HDC said 99 per cent of respondents thought it was good or excellent.

The customer service centre at Centenary House, in St Mary's Street, Huntingdon, brings together council services which had previously located within Pathfinder House.

Since the new centre opened at the end of July the customer services team has seen nearly 40,000 people.

The centre at Centenary House is temporary and will be replaced by a permanent building as part of the redevelopment of Pathfinder House, due to be completed in 2010.
