A construction company is going full speed ahead after gaining the credentials to become a supplier to the rail industry.

Mick George, which has its headquarters in Huntingdon, has been accredited by the Railway Industry Supplier Qualification Scheme (RISQS) which will allow the business to be involved in schemes to strengthen the country’s rail network.

Michael George, contracts director, said: “Whilst the business recognises the huge potential within this new sector, it is a prospect that won’t phase us. We have progressed immensely in recent times, and this is another step forward.

“The contracting services that we will be looking to provide are our core provisions. We possess a variety of established skillsets across the business, including recent recruits from this sector, which will be of undoubted benefit.”
