Pupils at Ramsey Junior School had a rubbish morning last Thursday.
Nine classes with more than 250 pupils spent the morning finding out about how the streets are kept clean and free of litter. A yellow road sweeper turned up at the school, sent by Huntingdonshire District Council with driver Robin Lambert, and pupils were able to have a go at using the high-pressure hose that washes the streets and pavements.
They then went on a litter pick of the school grounds.
