WE are drowning in new houses in St Neots and the surrounding areas - 1,300 at Loves Farm, Barford Road, Little Paxton, River Mill and any other little space a developer can buy up.

We need The Priory to stay the way it is, giving locals a place to meet, be entertained, see live shows, keep fit, dances. The list of what it has to offer goes on.

Like so many other people I have spoken to, I feel that, rather than more houses, we need more places for entertainment, such as a cinema and swimming pool.

We complain about children hanging about our town. How many more will be doing the same when all those new houses have been moved into?
