PUPILS from St Anne's Church of England School in Godmanchester have helped to improve the environment at Godmanchester Community Nursery.

The children sowed tree seeds collected from local ancient woodland.

In three years time, the young trees will be planted in the district through Huntingdon District Council's Parish Planting Scheme.

Monique Le Roux, science leader at St Anne's Church of England School, said: "This has been a fantastic opportunity for our children, they have thoroughly enjoyed the experience and have benefited from supporting a community project in many ways, not only developing their social skills but also supporting the science curriculum."
