A BABY heron had to be rescued by firefighters after it got stuck in a drain in Cambourne.
The rescue took place at 1.56pm on Tuesday (August 18) in School Lane, Lower Cambourne.
Firefighters managed to rescue the chick by going into the drain and using water from the jet to flush it towards them.
Mark Houghton, watch manager at Papworth fire station said: "The chick seemed happy and healthy and we were pleased we were able to assist.
