AN investigation has been launched after a man was found hanging in his cell at Littlehey Prison in Perry.
Nicholas Jones, 34, died in hospital on September 17 after being discovered by prison officers three days earlier.
The prison and probation ombudsman is carrying out an inquiry.
Jones had been serving three years and six months for a breach of his detention order.
A Home Office spokesman said: "Every death in custody is a tragedy and our thoughts are with Mr Jones' family and friends."
INFORMATION: HMP Littlehey is a category C prison with 706 inmates.
