Around 200 people contemplating careers working with animals got a taste of what they would be letting themselves in for at Wood Green Animal Shelter, near Godmanchester.
The organisers, the College of Animal Welfare, said most of the visitors were young people wanting to know what GCSEs would help with their chosen career.
Among the exhibitors were Groomers Training Limited, the Blue Cross, the Raptor Foundation, the Defence Animal Centre, Huntingdonshire District Council, Moulton College, the Pet Care Trust and Guide Dogs for the Blind, whose Lesley Malcolm and Pete Smith are pictured with Labrador Quaver.
