I WOULD like to say a big thank you to a hero canoeist who saved my daughter's favourite Dora Ball from the river at Godmanchester's Chinese Bridge.
She is only six and didn't realise until it was too late, that balls roll down banks.
The funny thing is that we attempted to get the ball out but to no avail and I said "where is a canoe when you need one?" I turned round and, voila, there he was, a very handsome man, carrying a canoe.
I ran up to him and asked if he would be our hero by getting in his canoe and saving my little girl's ball, he did without any hesitation.
