IT'S like reading a Python sketch. The majority of accidents on the A14 are at slip roads and junctions. So the highways agency spend hundreds of thousands on installing speed cameras on a road that 75 per cent of the time cannot achieve half the speed limit.

I travel thousands of miles for work all over the country and could give a two-page spread of why the A14 is so frustrating. Mainly this is due to some terrible driving habits and bad junctions, which is where the money should be spent.

I am an advocate of speed cameras in built-up areas and trouble black spots, but this is ridiculous
