FIREFIGHTERS across the county will be getting their hands dirty this weekend when they take part in a fundraising car wash.
Cambridgeshire residents will be able to get their car washed by firefighters on Saturday (March 20) in exchange for a charity donation.
Proceeds will go to The Fire Fighters Charity, an organisation which helps 13,000 men, women and children from the fire community every year.
The charity car washes are taking place at Papworth fire station from 10am to 3pm and St Ives fire station from 10.30am to 2pm.
Jon Neish, Cambridgeshire representative for The Fire Fighters Charity said: "We are really looking forward to taking part in this national fundraising day. We would encourage members of the local community to come and support us, and take advantage of the time to talk to firefighters about fire safety whilst getting a nice clean car!
