WHAT would really make a difference to who you vote onto the county council next month? What would make you turn up at the polling station for the first time?

After the close of nominations later this week for the Cambridgeshire County Council polls, The Hunts Post will be asking the principal parties to help you decide whom to back.

We plan to submit a series of readers' questions to each of them and print their responses to help you choose.

Nominations close at 4pm on Thursday May 7, and the vote takes place on Thursday June 4. The results will be declared the following day.

Readers should send the questions they would like us to put to the candidates to The Editor, The Hunts Post, 30 High Street, Huntingdon PE29 3TB or e-mail editor@huntspost.co.uk. A selection of readers' questions will be put to the main parties.

We shall also print a summary of the main parties' manifestos for the European Parliamentary elections, which are also on June 4. The Euro results will be declared on Sunday June 6.
