I WHOLEHEARTEDLTY agree with the Reverend Philip Foster (Letters, August 5) that the guided busway will be a very expensive white elephant.

The money would have been better spent on upgrading the A14 to a three lane highway which would have improved bus times. A park and ride could still have been constructed at St Ives.

As rate payers we will be paying for the council's expensive bus follies for decades.

Has anyone seen a bus on the new Huntingdon bus lane which only serves buses coming in from the north?
