CHRISTMAS shoppers can help out a Huntingdonshire children’s charity this festive season by buying their Christmas cards from Dreamdrops.

The cards have been designed by two Huntingdon Primary School children, following a competition in The Hunts Post, and are now on sale for £3.50 for a packet of five cards.

Each pack contains the two designs and all profits will be put into funding Dreamdrops' work - helping to buy equipment for the children's unit and special care baby unit at Hinchingbrooke Hospital in Huntingdon.

Andy Veale, Editor of The Hunts Post and a committee member for Dreamdrops, said: "These are really lovely cards and we are very grateful to Alice Nicholson and Abigail Thrift for their superb designs, and to St Ives-based PMT Digital for giving us a discount on printing the cards.

"We hope as many people as possible will buy a pack of these cards, safe in the knowledge that they will directly be supporting a Huntingdonshire children's charity which has the single aim of helping our district's children."

Tim Egan, director of PMT Digital, added: "We are delighted to be supporting Dreamdrops. We endeavour to help local and national charities in our own small way."

As competition winners both Abigail (left), aged 7, and Alice, aged 8, have won an exclusive party for 20 at Cambourne Fitness and Sports centre.

Karl Secker, the centre's general manager, said: "Dreamdrops does fantastic work in the community and we wanted to give the children who designed these cards the opportunity to celebrate their success."
