BOMB disposal experts were called to the headquarters of Anglian Water in Huntingdon on Thursday afternoon after a suspicious package was discovered.
Staff were evacuated from the building in Ambury Road, just off the Ring Road at 3.30pm and sent home. Experts from the bomb disposal team investigated the package and found it to be a small promotional clock that had been delivered to the top floor of the building. The all clear was given at 5pm and the bomb disposal team vacated the premise.
A spokesman for Anglian Water said: "It was a small package found to contain a promotional clock that was ticking. I am not sure who it was from. Obviously for staff safety we were advised by the police to evacuate the building while the bomb disposal team investigated the package. We will continue to be vigilant and check our post as we have been doing for a while.
