POLICE officers from the Tactical Firearm Unit, based at the force's Hinchingbrooke headquarters, have perfected their football skills with local school children.
To ensure the future of their matches, the officers donated £300 to students from Hinchingbrooke School to help with the purchase of new goalposts.
The donation came from the spare cash which remained after officers paid their subscriptions to play on the artificial pitches.
Acting Deputy Chief Constable John Feavyour said: "It is the important for police officers to be at the heart of the community which they serve and I am delighted to hear that Hinchingbrooke School, and all the others who use the astroturf pitches, will benefit from this contribution.
