THAT’S NEAT: Residents of Blackwood Road in Eaton Socon have been awarded the Eatons Neat Street Award for working together to keep their street clean and tidy.

The annual award, organised by the Eatons Community Association, is now in its eighth year and is judged by Huntingdonshire District Council, which also provides the plaque for the road.

The judging looks for streets that are free from weeds on kerbs and in gutters, free from litter, have nicely maintained front gardens or frontages, and unobstructed pavements.

Sonia Hansen, HDC’s streetscene manager, said: “We are happy to promote local community awards and are delighted to award this plaque to the residents of Blackwood Road.”

Sue Jarrett, chairman of the Eatons Community Association, added: “Congratulations to the residents of Blackwood Road who have made a real effort in working together to keep their street clean and tidy.”
