IMPROVEMENT works on the Black Cat Roundabout on the A1 near St Neots will start next April.
The Highways Agency has announced the £6.5million scheme that will see part-time traffic light signals on the roundabout.
The roundabout will also be increased to four lanes on the eastern side of the junction and the A1 southbound approach and from two to three lanes on the A1 northbound approach.
The work is expected to finish in late autumn next year.
