I HEAR of people having to pay when their bins are collected. I have once again had to ring and write to the council about my bins not being collected at all.

This may be the ninth or 10th time I have had to do this. The council has now said that my bins were not out and I will just have to wait for the next collection. My recycling doesn't seem to get forgotten, but my household waste does. If I had bags, they wouldn't leave it, because of rats, but putting bins out in the High Street on the path blocking access for wheelchair users and prams seems quite unfair.

My bins have now been out a week. I rang the council's helpline, and my missed collection was noted once again and I was told it would be collected within two or three days. One whole week later, I still have a full bin and I'm having to fill it over the top. So now it may be rejected when it finally does get collected.
