A BRIDLEWAY at Huntingdon Racecourse that has been blocked for 50 years is set to be diverted around the boundaries of the racecourse site.
The path, which connects Great Stukeley with Brampton, has been obstructed by various buildings and other structures since the 1950s, Huntingdonshire District Council's development control panel will be told on Monday.
Councillors will be asked to take the first step in diverting the path, which is expected to see intensive use when the Northbridge development homes is built.
The new bridleway would be a four-metre wide grass strip with a new bridge across a drainage ditch. Costs will be paid by the racecourse.
