HUNTINGDON shoppers can beat the blues today (Monday), the most depressing day of the year, with free chocolates from Thorntons.
Thorntons will be giving away hundreds of chocolates at their branch in High Street, Huntingdon, to help ease the load on Blue Monday 2010.
Blue Monday is calculated to be the most depressing day of the year, based on six factors: debt, weather, time since Christmas, failing New Year's resolutions, low motivational levels and the feeling of a need to take action.
Psychologists say that people feel at their lowest ebb on the Monday of the last full week of January, so to give people a timely pick-me-up, Thorntons will be giving away free samples of their new brand, Melts, at the store all day.
