MOTORISTS in St Neots could not believe their eyes when a hot air balloon landed on the road in front of them.
The huge balloon made an unexpected landing in the middle of Mill Lane opposite The Common at about 9.30am on Friday, September 19.
The event was captured on camera by trainee photographer, Daniel Thwaites who e-mailed the snaps to The Hunts Post newsroom.
The images show traffic at a standstill as the multi coloured balloon came to a stop on the road.
Mr Thwaites of Phoenix Square, St Neots said he was shocked when he saw the balloon. He added: "I just happened to be walking at St Neots Common when a hot air balloon landed on the road in front of some cars."
It is not known why the balloon landed in the road or where it was travelling to.
