A man who breached his anti-social behaviour order for the second time within days of being fined for the same offence has been committed to crown court for sentence.Jason Gotobed of Farthing Lane, St Ives, admitted breaching the order on June 25 last year by visiting an area of the town from which he is excluded under the Asbo. Magistrates in Huntingdon heard that despite visiting Wheatfields, a banned area under his Asbo, Gotobed was not causing trouble, and in fact was acting as peacemaker.Prosecuting, John Goodier told the court that it was the early hours of the morning when Gotobed and a friend were in the Wheatfields area. The other man had committed criminal damage to the windows of a house, but Gotobed was "trying to help the victims", Mr Goodier said. It was the second breach of the Asbo, issued in January last year - he was fined on June 11 for the first offence.Elaine Havord, for Gotobed, said the 20-year-old suffered from severe mental health problems, and was sectioned in March last year. He had tried "diligently" to comply with the terms of the Asbo, she said.Magistrates decided their sentencing powers were insufficient to deal with Gotobed who, the chairman said, had a "total disregard for court orders". He is due to be sentenced at Peterborough Crown Court on February 10, and was bailed unconditionally.
