VANDALS struck at a St Neots school setting fire to a bin and leaving the building smoke logged.
Firefighters were called at 9pm on Sunday (December 21) to reports of a fire outside Bushmead Primary School in Bushmead Road, Eaton Socon.
When crews arrived they found a bin well alight close to the school.
Firefighters extinguished the blaze using one hose reel and had returned to base by 9.46pm.
A spokesman for Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue Service said the outside of the building had been left fire damaged and the inside of the school was smoke logged.
She added that the fire had been started deliberately.
