ARSONISTS could have caused serious injury after setting fire to a trailer that contained a Calor gas canister.
St Ives police are investigating the incident after the trailer was set alight in Thicket Road in Houghton, St Ives.
Sergeant Mark Butler, from St Ives police station said: "The gas canisters could have exploded at any time during the fire causing serious injury or even death to anyone nearby."
The attack took place on Sunday, April 30, between 4pm and 7.30pm.
Sgt Butler added: "The victim described how he had watched the tyres on his trailer exploding."
Firefighters were not called as the blaze had almost burned itself out when police arrived.
