AN AMUSEMENT worker has been assaulted during an armed robbery in St Neots on the evening of Wednesday, November 21.

The robbery took place at about 8.35pm when two men armed with a knife and a sock with a heavy object inside entered Carey's Amusements in South Street.

The men approached a member of staff in the kitchen and hit him with the heavy object, they then threatened him with a knife and demanded he handed an amount of cash over.

The men took the money and left via the fire exit onto Church Street.

The first man is described as white, 5'9", in his early 20s and slim. The second man is described as white, 5'9", around 30 years old.

Detective Sergeant Adrian Bowman said: "I am keen to hear from anyone who was in the South Street and Church Street area between 8pm and 9pm last night.

"Did you see the men as they were entering the shop or leaving after the robbery?

"Any information, no matter how small, could prove invaluable in determining what happened."
