Last week's story "£400 fine for death of cyclist" contained two inaccuracies. Karl Clarke is buried at Eaton Socon cemetery, not Wood Green cemetery as stated. There is a memorial tree with plaque planted for Karl at Wood Green Animal Shelters in Godmanchester. We apologise to Karl's family for the misunderstanding.
We also stated that the case was likely to re-ignite calls for a new charge of "causing death by dangerous driving". This should have read "causing death by careless driving". The former has been an offence for many decades.
