VISITORS have been flocking to Abbotsley for the annual Scarecrow Festival with more than 60 strange creations in the village.

The event is part of the village's Feast Week, which includes nine separate events, including a fete last Saturday, children's races, a pub quiz, a village dinner, casino night and a barn dance this Saturday as well as an open village with teas and jazz on the green on Sunday.

Chairman of the village hall committee, Alan Huckle, said: "It has been fantastic how many cars have arrived and parked up so that people can wander round the village.

"We have organised the Feast Week for many years and the proceeds go towards the maintenance of the village hall.
