A Russian owl seen flying over the Oxmoor in Huntingdon has been taken to the Raptor Foundation in Woodhurst.
A spokesman for the bird centre and charity said the bird was believed to be worth at least £1,000, but so far it has been unable to trace the owner.
Meanwhile, another owl, Sheba which appeared in the fourth Harry Potter film (and was thought at the time to be a female) has fathered more babies.
Two baby Siberian eagles were born to Sheba and the female owl Free Spirit. Last year they produced one youngster who was named Quidditch.
