HDC should not have granted the licence for the club in the first place without ensuring the building was fit for the purpose for which it was to be used.
Therefore the council was quite wrong to issue Ethos (formerly Oliver's) with a noise abatement order.
This is another nail in the coffin for nightlife in Huntingdon, and we feel very sorry for Mr O'Brian and for the young people in Huntingdon who have no other local alternative.
