PRODUCTION of Huntingdon's octocentenary DVD has been delayed by a month - because the organisers cannot decide what to include in it.

They are spoiled for choice from coverage of the year's events, which included the re-enactment, during a mediaeval weekend in August, of the granting of the town's charter by King John in 1205, and the visit of the Princess Royal, Princess Anne, in November.

The DVD, which was expected this month, will not now become available until mid-February, Huntingdon Town Council admitted this week.

"We couldn't have predicted how difficult the task of selecting clips would be," said Councillor Jennifer Sarabia, chairman of the Huntingdon 800 sub-committee.

"We know that the DVD will be sought after by a large number of people. We can only apologise but promise that they won't be disappointed.

"With our film of about 90 minutes we are hoping to convey the tremendous levels of community involvement.
