GIG PREVIEW: MESH29 @ The Portland Arms, Cambridge, July 5
THERE'S a real buzz about Mesh 29, an acoustic duo from Peterborough whose razor cutting playing has attracted much industry attention. The duo recently featured, with a large picture, in the NME, as one of the best unsigned acts in the country
Previously, they had stayed largely out of the limelight since their formation with the exception of a few Peterborough shows,.
With this kind of media hype, and an ever-growing fanbase on their myspace page, it may be wise to catch them before they gig too big, the perfect opportunity being next Wednesday at the Portland Arms in Cambridge. They headline the evening, which is billed as The Acoustic Lounge. Very capable support comes from The Benjamin Theory, Kieran Callaghan and the much underrated Paul Goodwin. Tickets £5.
