NOT enough is being done to prevent HGVs from crossing the medieval river bridge linking Huntingdon and Godmanchester.

This beautiful structure was built in 1322, is Grade I listed, and deserves to be treasured, not abused.

I have regularly seen HGVs from both Tesco and Sainsbury's crossing the bridge at night time. When the A14 was closed, the police were diverting traffic through Huntingdon and I was shocked to see large numbers of lorries crossing the bridge.

Surely this cannot be allowed to continue. We all need to look after the bridge for future generations to admire.
