THE westbound carriageway of the A428 will be closed overnight tonight (Monday) between the Girton Interchange (A14 junction31) and the junction of the A428 and A1198 at Caxton Gibbet for resurfacing and renewal of road markings on the A428 Cambourne interchange.

The carriageway will be closed between 8pm and 6am with traffic diverted via the A14 to exit at Godmanchester (junction 24), then southbound on the A1198 to join the A428 at Caxton Gibbet.

Tomorrow night (Tuesday) the eastbound exit and entry slip roads at Cambourne will be closed overnight, with traffic diverted via the A428 to either the A1198 Caxton Gibbet roundabout or the Hardwick junction.

And the eastbound carriageway of the A14 will be closed overnight tonight between Thrapston interchange (junction 13) and the Brampton Hut interchange with the A1 (junction 21) for urgent resurfacing work following a lorry fire last week. From 8pm until 6am traffic will be diverted via the A605 northbound to join the A1(M) at Peterborough (junction 17) and then southbound on the A1(M) to re-join the A14 at Brampton Hut.
