MOTORISTS using the A14 in the St Ives and Hemingfords area should expect some overnight lane closures and slip road closures over the coming six weeks.
Work by Highways Agency contractors to clear ditches and clean gullies on both carriageways began on Monday. It is expected to be completed by mid October, weather permitting.
The westbound entry sliproad at junction 26 (Hemingford Abbots) will be closed tonight (Monday) and the eastbound entry slip road on Monday and Tuesday, September 13 and 14. The Gore Tree Road exit slip road will be closed on Friday and Monday, September 17 and 20, and the entry slip road on Tuesday and Wednesday, September 21 and 22.
