The primary school in Bluntisham is the first in Cambridgeshire to achieve a new national standard. Staff and pupils at St Helen's Primary School are celebrating after receiving the revised Investors in People Award.
The award, although not specific to schools, is presented to organisations that demonstrate their commitment to developing and valuing the workforce.
Headteacher Wendy Harknett said: "We are pleased to receive this award as it recognises the value we place on the quality and skills of our staff and their future development."
The school collected its first Investors in People award three years ago, but the revised standard is more rigorous and comprehensive. It is a nationally recognised mark of success in delivering business improvement through people.
St Helen's make special mention of their dedicated team of teachers, teaching assistants, governors and parents, who support and encourage children in their learning.
