Lizards, snakes, cats and dogs visited a Huntingdonshire primary school in a bid to inspire children to read more books. Youngsters from Hartford Infant School dressed as their favourite animals, including ladybirds and rabbits, to mark national book week. They were also visited by animals from Wood Green Animal Shelters in Godmanchester. The school's book week was organised by literacy teacher, Emma Chapman, and the theme was amazing animals. Headteacher Julie Burdon said: With some younger children you need to inspire them to open a book otherwise they turn to computers.
