GUIDES at St Peter's School in Huntingdon celebrated Thinking Day by wearing their Guide uniforms to school.

School archives revealed a photograph from 1922 showing the School Company (1st Huntingdon) Winners of the County Flag 1922.

The building in the background of the old photograph is the old Brookside School, which has been demolished (along Huntingdon Ring Road).

Though the current St Peter's School was built in 1957, it was originally sited at Brookside.

Thinking Day is the most important date in the calendar for Girlguiding UK. Celebrated on February 22 every year, it was the birthday of both Robert Baden-Powell and his wife Olave, founders of the Scout and Guide movements.

Pictured are guides Rosie, Siantelle and Grace and senior section members Pippa, Abigail and Helen with the old photo, shown below.
