EIGHT vehicles were seized and dozens of fixed penalty notices were handed out during a day of action in Huntingdon.
Police spent Monday (March 16) patrolling the town identifying motoring offences and seizing vehicles without insurance.
Summons were issued to 10 motorists with no insurance or no driving license, while 30 fixed penalty notices (FPN) were given for failure to wear a seat belt.
A further 14 FPNs were given for motorists using a mobile phone while driving, 12 motorists were warned about having tinted windows, and four were warned for number plate offences.
One man was arrested on suspicion of taking a vehicle without consent in Huntingdon.
Sergeant Richard Jackson said: "We seized eight vehicles on a single day in one town and that is disappointing. However, I hope it sends out a clear message that breaking the laws of the road will not be tolerated.
"It was also disappointing to still see people using a mobile phone at the wheel and these people will have their licences endorsed with penalty points.
