ENTERTAINERS, including St Neots Sentinels, the Falcon Flames Dance Academy, the Scorpion Spinners, the Riverside Theatre Company and St Neots Players in costume for their pantomime Robin Hood, all took part in the switch on of St Neots Christmas lights on Friday.
There was entertainment in the Market Square from 5.30pm with Jamie Harris's Funfair and stage performances by Toque Tambor, Huntingdon Male Voice Choir and dancers.
The procession included Santa on the Round Table Sleigh and town crier, Mike Blackburn. The lights were switched on by seven-year-old, Crosshall Junior School pupil Georgia Knight. The seven-year-old fought off fierce competition from more than 70 other creative youngsters to win the chance to officially light up the town after designing a poster to publicise the event.
