I WAS gently entertained by the saga of Jonathan Djanogly and 'The Terrible Leaflet'.
He seemed incensed by the writer's reference to his support for HLS. Given her party credentials, I would thought that that particular focus was entirely predictable. And surely no one is naive enough to think that the shadow Business Minister did it just because he felt for the people involved.
And the sorry saga of those expenses? While he can repeat until he's blue in the face that he did no wrong, there will always be those, myself included, who will continue to think otherwise.
Appropriating taxpayers' money for things you can perfectly well afford to pay for yourself, just because you can, is morally questionable.
The fact that he paid a lot of it back seems to suggest he thinks so too.
Best, I would have thought, to acknowledge a mistake made, and just learn to live with it.
Like the rest of us.
