SEVERAL miles of the A428 will be closed overnight for nearly three weeks next month to enable contractors to renew the surface.
Work will start at 9pm on Tuesday October 11 and should be completed by the morning of Saturday October 29.
The Highways Agency says the work will involve closing the road between the Caxton Gibbet junction with the A1198 and the Tithe Farm roundabout in St Neots, the junction with Cambridge Road.
Closures will take place overnight on weekdays between 9pm and 5.30am.
There will be local access for residents, and signed diversions will be set up for longer-distance traffic, using the A1 and A14. The agency says delays are inevitable, and apologises in advance.
