Firstly, the river road is not dangerous at all, if you drive at the speed limit or lower. If you do speed or overtake, you will be in trouble. The main culprits of speeding are local people.
Recently, I travelled through Mereside and was overtaken by a woman driver in a small blue car, who then drove into her own drive 100 yards further on.
The same with Ramsey Road, Forty Foot. You try to slow down to 30mph, and someone really clever overtakes, then turns into Felix Road.
Don't keep blaming the dangerous roads - it's the dangerous local people you need to watch out for.
