LIBRARIES around Cambridgeshire are gearing up for a week of free taster sessions to help people get the most out of computers.
Cambridgeshire County Council libraries will be introducing new computer users to email, internet searching, scanning, digital imaging and even booking holidays online by offering a flavour of the range of workshops which will be offered this year.
Details of the taster sessions which will run from January 23 until January 28, are available from the library learning centres at Cambridge (Lion Yard), Ely, Huntingdon, Littleport, March, St Ives and Whittlesey.
Library learning centres also offer a wide range of Learndirect courses ranging from IT skills, help with brushing up on reading, writing and number skills or courses designed to help with work related needs such as customer service or financial skills.
Qualifications in IT such as European Computer Driving License or CLAIT and the National Certficates in Literacy and Numeracy are also available.
INFORMATION: For further details about the taster sessions, please contact the library learning centres on 0845 045 5225.
