PUPILS at Abbey College, Ramsey, presented a feast of festive entertainment to an enthusiastic audience of parents, friends and local people. The evening was organised by the college's performing arts faculty and included a lively mixture of drama, music and dance based on a Christmas theme.
The audience was treated to excellent performances which included a rock version of Pachabel's Canon and a drama sketch entitled Santa On Trial alongside more traditional Christmas items played and sung by the college's orchestra, brass band and music ensembles. During the interval, the audience enjoyed an exhibition of artwork undertaken by the students during the term.
Wayne Birks, head teacher of Abbey College, said: "It was wonderful to see the amazing wealth of talent which the students displayed during the evening. I am deeply indebted to the hard work of all the staff who encourage our students to excel in the performing arts and, of course, to the students themselves who show such consummate skill and confidence when performing in front of a large audience.
