OVER 200 scouts from Huntingdonshire went under canvas at the weekend to celebrate 100 years of scouting.
At Huntingdon Race Course, Brampton, scouts from Fenstanton up to Ramsey and Earith across to St Ives held their own adventure packed centenary camp as part of a nationwide series of events. Other Huntingdonshire scouts will also take part in a camp at Holt Island this weekend, because there are two many youngsters to all camp at once.
The youngsters had a chance to take part in activities including archery, canoeing, a climbing wall, night hike, rocket making, pioneering, a massive camp fire with singing, a huge firework display and an assault course. The camp also included a water slide and a slippery pole.
