EYNESBURY Church of England Primary School is a good school where children leave with above average standards of work, according to a report by Ofsted, the Office for Standards in Education.
The report says the school has considerable expertise in helping pupils with learning difficulties and disabilities. These pupils achieve well, it says and it adds that gifted and talented pupils make satisfactory progress according to their abilities.
The report says pupils' personel development is good and they enjoy many activities in school.
"The school has a strong, inclusive ethos through which pupils are valued for what they bring, individually to school life", the report says, adding that pupils told inspectors this was one of the best things about the school. A "Star Book" records many instances of thoughtful actions by pupils. Behaviour and attendance are good and pupils feel staff always have time to listen to them.
The report says the school could improve further by raising standards for the most able pupils by consistently providing them with challenging work. It could also improve the pupil's awareness of their standards and how to improve them.
INFORMATION: Eynesbury Church of England Primary School has 247 pupils aged between three and 11, including a 26-place nursery.
