POLICE patrols in Grafham and Perry have been increased and residents are being urged to remain vigilant following a spate of burglaries and vehicle break-ins.

During the past few weeks there have been a number of shed burglaries and attempted break-ins to cars and homes in the two villages. As a precaution, officers are urging residents to ensure their property is kept secure at all times.

Pc Rebecca Williams said: "I would also ask that residents remain alert to activities in their neighbourhood and report any suspicious activity to police."

Security can be increased by installing outdoor lights, fitting quality locks and bolts to sheds and outbuilding, postcoding property and fitting an alarm system.
