It’s half-term this week. For those of us who still haven’t finished sewing on name tags or found that pesky gym bag, this might come as a bit of a shock. But don’t worry, I’m here to help.

Today I spent time alongside other gardeners propagating strawberry plants using the classic method of inserting runners into compost filled pots. Nothing unusual there ... except if you heard our conversation you might think differently.
I’m not a captain of industry and I’ve no degree in economics but I’m pretty sure I could boost the productivity of this country overnight. How you ask. Well, okay, you didn’t ask, but this is my column so I’m going to tell you anyway.
