Cambridgeshire Police officers popped the tyres of a Volkswagen Golf last night (May 1).
The measure was taken to prevent the driver from evading the police in West Street, Godmanchester.
The car caught the eye of Cambridgeshire Police officers after checks revealed that the driver was known to be disqualified.
Further checks also revealed that the driver has a history of driving dangerously to evade the police, so the tyres were popped to minimise the risk to members of the public.
The driver remains in custody on suspicion of driving while disqualified, possession with intent to supply drugs and drug driving.
